The Internet
1. Have you ever met anyone online before meeting them in person?
Yes. I’ve done
the whole online dating thing a few times, plus I was big into AOL when
it was first out and I would meet up with friends I had made in the chat
rooms.
2. What is your opinion on social media’s impact on our society? Does it make life better or worse? I think it does both. It can connect people across great distances that would otherwise not be able to stay in such close contact with each other. But it also fosters disconnection and less face to face contact with people that used to get a lot of face time with each other.
3. Do you believe that it’s possible to fall in love with someone that you’ve never met in person? No, that’s just ridiculous. How can you truly love someone when you don’t know what they’re like in person? You could possibly be in love with the IDEA of who they are, but you don’t know who they really are unless you’ve spent time with them in person.
4. Do you prefer to shop in stores or online? I like both for different reasons. Things are usually cheaper online, but you get instant gratification when you buy in a store.
5. What blogging platform do you use? (WordPress, Blogger, something else?) blogger.
6. Have you ever blogged for another site? Would you? Nope. And probably not.
7. Do you use services like Netflix and Hulu? I used to use Netflix, but when I got cable, I canceled it.
8. Would you prefer to get blog comments or to interact on twitter? Blog comments. I have a twitter, but I never use it anymore.
9. Do you prefer to read books or e-books? Books…or my phone to write a blog with.
10. Share at least one experience that you would not have had without being a blog author. I wouldn’t have known as early on that if I just slowed down my running pace by only 30 seconds per mile that I could go further and run longer. That was thanks to great feedback from a fellow blogger that commented on a post I had made
