A lot of people who are watching what their eating and doing their
best to control their portion sizes make a huge deal over weighing and/or
measuring your foods before you eat them.
They make doing this out to be an enormous pain in the ass, calling it
tedious and obsessive. I’m sorry, but I don’t
see anything wrong with weighing and/or measuring your foods out. Maybe it is a little obsessive for me, but I don’t
find it tedious in the slightest. Since I
live alone, something I like to do is to cook my dinners for anywhere from 4 up
to 12 days. I will cook the food and
then portion it out into individual portion sizes so that all I have to do is
reach in the fridge, pull it out, pop it in the microwave and then eat it. Worry free.
Also, measuring and weighing your food out only takes a few seconds so
calling it a time consuming procedure doesn’t hold any weight with me. So, in short, I religiously weigh/measure my
food portions. I even enjoy it!
