Yesterday was a run day for me.
When I ran last Wednesday, I ran a personal best of 22 minutes straight
(about 2.33 miles) with a second interval of 3 minutes. Yesterday I decided I was going to do that 25
minutes all at once. When I got to the
end of those 25 minutes, I wasn’t far off from finishing up a full 3 miles, so I
decided I would run straight thru until my 5 minute cool down walk. Well, right before I hit that 5 minute mark, I
hit the 3 mile mark! Woohoo! I can run 3 miles straight…without
stopping! I do believe I’m ready to move
my runs outdoors, starting this Friday. I’m
off on Fridays so I figure that’s a good day to not be in a hurry to do my run
outdoors for the first time. I won’t be
rushed or on a schedule of any sort, so if I need to stop and walk, I have the
time to do that…but hopefully I won’t need to stop and
walk :)
