I was offered to stay over at work tonight and work a 16 hour shift. I, of course, took the offer as tomorrow is not a run day. About an hour into the second shift, the supervisor comes up to me and asks me do I want to stay and work a double shift tomorrow too. Well, Thursday is not a run day either, so I said yes to tomorrow's double shift. Unfortunately, this will make 3 (THREE!!!) days this week that I won't be exercising. This is frustrating to me, but I do need the money, even if it's not yet earmarked for any specific expendature just yet, so I can't in good consciense turn down the offered overtime.
I have a 6.2 mile run planned for Friday morning. I'm going to have to get up and going early Friday because I will probably have to run an errand after running and before work on Friday that I would have otherwise done on Thursday. No big deal. Out the door and running no later than 9:30am instead of my usual 10am. Saturday I've got a good amount of exercise planned. At a minimum, I'll be doing the boot camp class at my gym at 9:30am, then I'll go home, eat some protein and head out for a 2 hour bicycle ride. If I'm feeling up to it, Saturday evening I'll head to the gym for an all body strength training session (I'll need to find a decent one of those). This is probably important for me to do because I haven't strength trained AT ALL all week. I had planned to do that Wednesday and Thursday mornings but now I'll be sleeping during those times.
I'm thinking, due to the loss of workout sessions this week, that I will not see a loss on the scale this week. And I'm completely fine with that. I just sincerely hope I do not gain weight. If I can manage that, I will be one happy camper. Especially after the gain I saw at last week's weigh in. Keep your fingers crossed for me, please.
